Experienced Video Editor with extensive offline and online finishing credits across a broad range of genres for major broadcasters. I bring creativity, pace and proactive energy to every edit, working collaboratively to shape content that entertains, informs and connects with audiences.
Whether building comedy, heightening drama and suspense, finding the heart of a factual story or making complex material clear and engaging, I love finding inventive editorial solutions that make a programme land.

I’ve worked twice as a BBC staff editor, at a leading Soho post-production facility, and successfully as a freelance editor for more than 20 years. During that time, I’ve cut pretty much everything from prime-time Saturday-night entertainment and documentaries to live shows, music, sport, children’s programming, channel launches and promos.

I’m equally comfortable taking a project from the first assembly through to transmission, often with grade and sound mix, editing complex multicamera studio shows, and also sensitive factual narratives. I've also been engaged in the past to recut, repair and rescue projects that may otherwise never have seen the light of day.

I’m known for my creative storytelling, speed, editorial judgement and ability to solve problems calmly and constructively — hence the rather lovely description I’ve heard more than once: “a safe pair of hands.” And yes, I’ve even edited live Welsh-language shows — despite speaking only English. Somehow, we all survived!

I’ve worked on pilots, channel launches and many high-pressure live productions; collaborated with production teams at every level; and contributed to programmes nominated for BAFTA Wales and RTS North — including two nominations in the same Factual Entertainment category. Still no trophy, sadly, but I’m choosing to call that “unfinished business.”

Above all, I love editing and I love telling stories. I bring excellence supported by experience, enthusiasm, and curiosity, with a genuine desire to make every programme as entertaining, engaging and effective as possible.
